Hello Eduardo,

Please, upgrade your DecSoft's App Builder copy: the images from the app's files are now shown in designtime too. Just like you wanted.

On the other hand, let me to say that we can deal with app's images in both ways: using the app's files manager and just picking the images from the object inspector. If the images are in the same drive than the app's project file (which is absolutely recommended) App Builder stores relative paths to the images, then, there is no problem to move our app's files to another computer, for example.

But, anyway, you have reason: the images paths from the app's files manager are not shown in designtime, and this is what I enhanced rigth now Eduardo, as you can see when update your AB copy, these images' paths are now also shown in designtime. Just like you wanted.

Hello Eduardo,

I think that I understand what you wanted. Certainly, the problem is to determine the images' path. But I think that I can do something about, Eduardo, the let me to try it and then I will inform you here.

Hello to all,

This plugin for NeoBook™ is a wrapper over the DLL for the Velleman™ DMX INTERFACE K8062 cards. The plugin allows you to use all the exported functions from this DLL and therefore communicate your publications with this kind of hardware. The plugin include two sample publications which use all the provided actions. Of course remember you need to have the appropriate model of the Velleman™ card attached to your computer in order to try this plugin and the provided sample.

#7 Re: Topics related with App Builder » Where are placed the images of the Carousel app sample » 2017-11-21 10:54:12

Hello Joseph,

You can see it in the "UpdateImages" app's function. Here is the code of that function:

Math "round([App.InnerWidth])" "[NewWidth]"
Math "round([App.InnerHeight])" "[NewHeight]"

ArrayClear "[Carousel1.Source]"

Loop "1" "9" "[I]"
  ArrayPush "[Carousel1.Source]" "http://lorempixel.com/[NewWidth]/[NewHeight]/?r=[I]"
EndLoop

As you can see, the images are taken in a "random" way from the lorempixel.com service.

#9 Re: Topics related with App Builder » How to include JavaScript Framework within AppBuilder? » 2017-11-10 11:31:40

Hello Eduardo,

Certainly its possible to use thirdparty Javascript in our DecSoft's App Builder applications. As you know, basically we must to include the appropriate Javascript file(s) using the Files Manager, and, in the proper order. Most of times we need to prepare an HTML Content control that contain the elements for our Javascript code, for example, a "canvas" HTML element like in the case of Paper.js.

After that we need to deal with the Javascript code in the proper way, for example, I am not sure about your above code, because they don't initialize any canvas element. Basically, after add the appropriate Javascript files, we must use the right Javascript code in the right place in our application: you know that we can use Javascript code in any place, just placing it between the "StartJS" and "EndJS" actions.

I prepare a "PaperJs" sample for you that shown how we can use the jQuery the Paper.js Javascript libraries in our applications. This sample is included now in the current DecSoft's App Builder release, but I also upload it here for your convenience: PaperJs.zip.

#11 Re: Temas relacionados con App Builder » Como puedo ejecutar un comando de AppBuilder en JS » 2017-11-08 11:48:11

Hola Jordi,

¿Has probado algo así para ocultar un objeto desde Javascript?

StartJS
  window.App.RootScope.Button1.Hidden = 'true';
EndJS

Para mostrarlo de nuevo sería de este modo:

StartJS
  window.App.RootScope.Button1.Hidden = '';
EndJS

Cabe recordar también que estamos supiniendo que es necesario usar Javascript, pues, de lo contrario, podemos usar las acciones "Hide", "Show" y "Toggle" que App Builder proporciona.

In fact App Builder already use the bootswatch themes for Boostrap 3! Certainly is good to know that they are ready too for Boostrap 4: maybe someday App Builder can support Bootstrap 4, then we can continue using the bootswatch themes.

#14 Re: Topics related with other programs » Information about the NeoPlugin npFile » 2017-10-28 23:18:00

Hello Matthew,

Certainly "WordFile" is a variable which refers to the npFile plugin created file. We must use that variable with the other plugin's actions. Basically that variable allow us to create various npFile objects, since we can use as many variables as needed.

However, what the "FileLen" NeoBook' actions expect for their first argument is a file path, so, we can't use the above refered variable. You can save the file path when create the npFile object, but also retrieve it by the npFile's npFilePath action.

Then you can use the path with the "FileLen" NeoBook's action. On the other hand, if you want to know the file size created by the npFile plugin you can use the  npFile's npFileBytes action. Please, let me know if you have any other questions!

Hello to all,

This App Builder's Javascript plugin integrates the Google Analytics™ service with our apps. Before to use this plugin you need to create an account into the Google Analytics™ service and get your account's User Traking ID, which looks like "UA-213134124-5".

This plugin is included by default with the App Builder's installation. Take a look at the plugin's help file (from the program's options dialog, for example) in order to learn how to use it. In fact this as easy to use as useful for our apps.

Hope can be useful!

#16 Re: Topics related with App Builder » EndJs vs EndJS - enforce case » 2017-10-19 14:41:11

Hello psyclps,

Please, upgrade your DecSoft's App Builder copy. The below is a quote from the product's history file:

2017.92 (10/19/2017)

* Allow the "EndJS" action to be writed in a non case sensitive way, like the other App Builder actions. Before this fix App Builder understand that, for example, "endjs" is not the action, but just another JS line (inside an "StartJS" action), which cause an unexpected result.

Thanks for the report psyclps!

#21 Re: Topics related with App Builder » Can I call other control's Event? » 2017-09-27 19:49:05

Hello Alex,

Thanks for your kindly words. Please, take a look at this app sample. In the sample you can see two things: how to use an Image control and their "z-index" CSS rule in order to place on top of certain Input File control. Doing this we no need to hide the Input File control, who can cause problems, as you know, in older browsers. The sample also show how we can launch the Input File "dialog" using a label and also programmatically using the Image control's Click event.

Hope that sample can be useful for you, Alex, and, please, don't hesitate to post any other questions you have.

#22 Re: Topics related with App Builder » Can I call other control's Event? » 2017-09-27 05:39:48

Hello Alex,

The "connection" between a Label and an Input control (no matter if they are a File Input or any other) is the "for" attribute in the label element. That is, certainly is possible to add a label in an HTML control in that way, for example:

<label for="MyInputName">Press here!</label>

Note, however, that the Input File control is a bit special, in the sense that some browsers (the WebView on Android 4.x, for example) disallow to play with non visibles Input File controls. What you can do to pass around this is to place the Input File control(s) below than other controls (using the "z-index" CSS rule) in order to set it non visible, but wihout hide it completely.

Alex, at this point I am not sure if the above can be enough for you. Please, don't hesitate to post here any further questions that you have and I will try to help you. Almost always we can try several approachs to get what we wanted. For example, I am not sure why to use an HTML control here, since we can place any controls in a view in order to be "scrolled down": look a look at the "InputScroll" and "InputScroll2" samples.

#23 Re: Topics related with App Builder » Can I call other control's Event? » 2017-09-26 21:43:12

Hello Alex,

Thanks for posting. I am not sure if can understand very well exactly what you wanted or need, since, you talk about files but also about the app's local storage. Please, in order to try to help you, can you say if what you want is to upload one or more files to an app's server? Did you know that we can already use more than one Input File control in an app's view?

Certainly, everything we can do in Javascript is also suitable in our AB applications, but, I am not sure if we really need some external JS here or what. Additionally, if you think that you can explain a little more what you need to do, maybe, in addition to some specific help, we can also start to think into another possible approach to do what you wanted.

Thanks edunt. Certainly the app is published and the company's workers are using it, but, this is an "in house" app, only the company's workers can register and use it. Maybe I can place some videos in the near future about how they works, but the app cannot be tested in a public way, only for the company's workers.
